Priority 1: Legislation to provide state grant funding to support shelter services for specific categories of unhoused Montanans including seniors, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals with mental health needs or substance use disorder.
Priority 2: A study bill regarding the benefits of care coordination, wraparound services, and permanent supportiVE housing directing legislative staff to look at cost savings and improved outcomes from these services during the 2025-26 interim.
Priority 3: Public funding to expand permanent supportive housing services for the highest-need Montanans.
Priority 4: PROTECT Montana’s Medicaid beyond 2025.
Priority 5: Expand the availability of Medicaid services for unhoused Montanans through a waiver to allow for case management, peer support, tenancy support, and medical respite care.
PRIORITY 6: PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY AROUND TRANSITION PLANNING FOR THOSE BEING DISCHARGED FROM LOCAL/COUNTY JAILS, STATE PRISONS, OR HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS
